- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Summary
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients developing individualized treatment plans and delivering therapeutic interventions to improve functional mobility and overall quality of life. This role requires strong clinical expertise effective communication and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new patients and establish measurable treatment goals for functional outcomes
- Perform diagnostic tests to assess muscle strength nerve function joint mobility and overall physical abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Administer therapeutic interventions and modify treatment plans based on patient progress
- Document patient care progress and outcomes accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs
- Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care
- Supervise and provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) aides and students
- Assist in training new staff as needed
- Maintain compliance with departmental policies safety standards and infection control protocols
- Participate in meetings quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities
- Maintain accurate records of patient activity and billing
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (state licensure required)
- Strong clinical knowledge in rehabilitation and patient care
- Ability to develop and implement treatment programs independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving as a clinical resource within a specialty area
- Experience assisting with program development and team supervision
