Job Summary

Vall dHebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and develops innovative biomedical research at the University Hospital Vall dHebron. VHIR is oriented towards finding solutions to the health problems of the citizens and has the will to contribute to the scientific educational social and economic development within its area of competence.

The GRIMM (Medical and Molecular Imaging Research Group) is the VHIR research group expert in medical imaging in the areas of Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) and Nuclear Medicine.

The selected person will work under the leadership of the Radiology Service on the project SHAIPED from the Radiology Department.

Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Coordinate and manage databases.

  • Provide support to the radiologic department in the patient reclusion and data acquisition.

  • Collaborate with clinicians and engineers.

  • Prepare and organise meetings and data for projects.

  • Analyse the needs of the projects.

  • Monitor and track patients.

Education and qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelors degree in Sciences / Masters degree / PhD

  • Additional or specialised training in Medical Imaging Technician.

  • Fluency in Catalan Spanish and a good level of English.

  • Methodical organized person with the ability to prioritize according to the needs of each project.

Desirable:
  • Additional or specialised training in data management.

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
  • At least 2 years experience working in research in hospitals.

  • Knowledge of REDCap SAP DICOM and basic databases.

  • Previous experience with collecting clinical information from electronic records (hospital SAP management).

  • Professional experience as a data manager/data entry clerk will be valued.

Desirable:
  • Knowledge of RGDP and Informed consents.

  • Basic knowledge of biology.

  • Ability to think critically and work in a team.

  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Experience working with radiology or medical imaging equipment in a hospital or clinical setting.

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a clinical environment.

  • Effective communication skills to support and train clinical users.

  • Basic knowledge of imaging modalities (CT MRI X-ray ultrasound).

  • Knowledge of radiological data handling (DICOM) and medical database usage.

Labour conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-time (375 hours per week).

  • Starting date: As soon as possible.

  • Gross annual salary: 21.000 (Remuneration will be aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale).

  • Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities.
