Overview

We are seeking a Manager HPC Solutions Architecture to lead a team of domain-specialist architects responsible for designing and delivering high-performance computing (HPC) solutions across compute storage networking Kubernetes security and systems integration.

This role is highly customer-facing and spans the full solution lifecyclefrom early engagement and requirements discovery through architecture design proof-of-concepts deployment and ongoing optimization. The position serves as a strategic bridge between customers internal engineering and product teams ensuring solutions are scalable secure and aligned with both technical and business objectives.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical depth leadership experience and customer engagement skills with the ability to drive architectural excellence across complex multi-domain HPC environments.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

Lead mentor and develop a high-performing team of Solutions Architects across compute storage Kubernetes networking and security
Foster a culture of technical excellence collaboration and continuous improvement
Provide guidance on complex architectural challenges and cross-domain integration

Customer Engagement & Strategy

Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with customers aligning solutions to business and technical goals
Guide customers through the full lifecycle from discovery and design to deployment and optimization
Lead technical workshops deep-dives and architecture discussions

Solution Architecture & Design

Oversee the design of scalable resilient and secure HPC architectures tailored to workload requirements
Conduct technical design reviews and workload assessments to improve efficiency performance and cost-effectiveness
Recommend architecture decisions across compute storage networking data pipelines and security

Delivery & Execution

Guide proof-of-concept initiatives to validate performance and accelerate customer adoption
Ensure consistent delivery through reusable reference architectures patterns and best practices
Oversee documentation standards and architectural consistency across projects

Product & Engineering Collaboration

Act as a strategic partner to product and engineering teams translating field insights into platform enhancements
Contribute to the development of reference architectures and reusable design frameworks
Influence platform roadmap through customer-driven insights

Innovation & Emerging Technologies

Stay current with emerging technologies including GPUs accelerators interconnects distributed storage and orchestration frameworks
Encourage prototyping and innovation for new HPC and AI/ML workloads
Translate new technologies into production-ready solutions

Required Experience

10 years of experience in HPC Solutions Architecture or large-scale distributed systems design
3 years of leadership experience managing architects or engineering teams
Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across compute storage networking Kubernetes and security
Strong expertise designing integrated end-to-end architectures across multiple infrastructure domains
Hands-on experience with HPC technologies including GPU acceleration (NVIDIA ecosystem) workload schedulers (Slurm Kubernetes) and distributed storage (VAST Lustre GPFS object storage)
Experience designing secure compliant architectures including identity encryption and regulatory considerations
Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions
Ability to communicate complex architectures to both technical and executive stakeholders

Technical & Domain Expertise

Experience supporting AI/ML scientific computing simulation or data-intensive workloads
Familiarity with data platforms such as Kafka Spark or similar within HPC workflows
Experience with automation and DevOps practices including CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform Ansible)
Knowledge of emerging compute technologies such as GPUs InfiniBand/RDMA and containerized HPC environments

Preferred Experience

Background in leading customer workshops technical design reviews or industry presentations
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and hybrid HPC architectures
Advanced degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Expert GCP Professional Cloud Architect CCNP RHCE CKA or CKS
