Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full-time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1 2025 March 31st 2027.)
Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Program Team Manager Nephrology and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital the Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse is responsible for: providing quality nursing care for patients requiring pre-dialysis management and peritoneal dialysis in the hospital and community settings (including home visits); and performing other related duties as assigned.
Experience
- Minimum two (2) years recent Nephrology nursing experience required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- B.N. preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Manitoba Nursing Nephrology Course is required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Current CRNM registration required.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
- Valid drivers license and use of own vehicle required.
NOTE: ANNUAL BLS LEVEL C REGISTRATION/RE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
Qualifications and Skills
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
