Job Summary
Whats the role
Reporting to a Head Of within Group Strategy youll lead strategy work on some of the Groups most complex and commercially significant questions. This is a handson role for an experienced strategy professional who can operate with judgement structure ambiguity and guide work from problem definition through to executive decision making.
Youll own endtoend workstreams across Groupwide and businesslevel strategy projects. This includes framing problems setting hypotheses directing analysis and modelling shaping strategic options and developing clear decisionready recommendations for senior executives.
Youll work closely with senior leaders across the Group and play a key role in setting the analytical direction of projects maintaining quality and guiding junior team members. This is not a delivery PMO or transformation role the focus is on strategy development and executive decision support not implementation.
What do I need
- 4Plus years of professional strategy consulting experience ideally from a toptier or recognised strategy consulting firm.
- Proven experience leading strategy workstreams including:
- framing complex ambiguous problems
- setting hypotheses and analytical direction
- running qualitative and quantitative analysis including model building
- shaping clear strategic options and recommendations for senior executives
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to build rapport with the business and support functions.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge respectfully operate with limited guidance and navigate tradeoffs in uncertain environments.
- Experience owning workstreams or projects managing priorities and guiding junior team members while maintaining high standards of quality and pace.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of producing and presenting structured persuasive materials to senior stakeholders.
- High attention to detail comfort working to tight deadlines and the ability to collaborate effectively across small highperforming teams.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint Excel and Word (essential).
- Proficient with safe and compliant AI tools to enhance productivity.
- Financial Services experience is helpful but not required strategy capability matters more than industry background.
