Cisco UC Principal Engineer

Responsibilities
Strategy & Architecture
- Design and Roadmap: Lead the long-term architectural strategy for global UC environments including the integration of SME (Session Management Edition) to centralize dial-plans and multi-cluster routing.
- Documentation: Creation and maintenance of HLD/LLD documentation network topology diagrams and capacity planning reports.
- Migration of On-Prem Cisco voice infrastructure to Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center.
Core Infrastructure Engineering
- Cisco UC Management: Manage and optimize the full Cisco suite including CUCM Unity Connection (CUC) and IM & Presence.
- Gateway & SBC Administration: Expert-level configuration of Cisco Voice Gateways (ISR/ASR) Analog Gateways (VG series) and Oracle ACME Packet SBCs for secure PSTN peering.
- Protocols & Connectivity: Architect and troubleshoot complex SIP and PRI trunking including advanced digit manipulation and header transformation.
Advanced Operations & Contact Center
- PCCE Support: Provide high-level engineering support for Packaged Contact Center Enterprise (PCCE) environments ensuring seamless operation of CVP Finesse and reporting modules.
- Security & Compliance: Manage certificate lifecycles and security patching across the UC landscape.
- Performance Tuning: Utilize RTMT and Wireshark to perform deep-packet analysis to resolve ghost issues like jitter latency and signaling drops.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 10 years in Voice/Collaboration Engineering with at least 3 years in a Principal capacity.
- Certifications: CCIE Collaboration (highly preferred) or CCNP Collaboration with equivalent field experience.
- Technical Depth: Proven hands-on experience with Oracle ACME SBCs Cisco SME CUCM
- Contact Center: Direct experience supporting PCCE or UCCE environments.
