Description:
Essential Functions (Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following):
- Sewing leather Naugahyde or other heavy materials.
- Train on and operate an industrial sewing machine.
- Responsible for data collection and documentation.
- Report defective material or questionable condition to department supervisor.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Must have industrial sewing experience.
- Must be able to use an industrial sewing machine.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Must have good eye for small detailed inspection.
- Able to work independently and with others.
- Ability to use a ruler and have good basic math skills.
- Must be ambitious energetic and quality conscious.
Education:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). This is an entry-level position where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training.
