6. Your Role as the Speech-Language Pathologist
As a PRN SLP you will play a key role in supporting residents communication cognition and swallowing function.
Responsibilities include:
Evaluating and treating residents with speech language cognitive and swallowing disorders
Developing and implementing individualized plans of care
Collaborating with nursing and dietary teams to support safe swallowing and nutrition
Providing education to staff residents and families
Participating in interdisciplinary communication and care planning
Supporting continuity of care through clear documentation and collaboration
Contributing to clinical education and mentorship opportunities when applicable

Basic Qualifications
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current or eligible South Carolina SLP license
