Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Software Engineer to join our cloud platform team. This role focuses on building scalable automated cloud solutions that empower development teams. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise hands-on AWS experience and a DevOps mindset to design and deliver cloud-native platforms and services.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop cloud-native applications and platform services on AWS
Build automation scripts utilities and functions to enable platform capabilities and self-service tooling
Develop and implement automated testing frameworks (unit integration functional)
Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform CloudFormation CDK or similar tools
Architect secure scalable and resilient cloud solutions following best practices
Build internal tools reusable components and reference architectures
Collaborate with development teams to enhance platform adoption and developer experience
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and overall DevOps processes

Required Skills (Must Have)

Strong hands-on experience in software engineering / application development (building services APIs components)
Proficiency in Python JavaScript or TypeScript (or similar modern programming language)
Experience writing scripts automation workflows and utilities
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and practices
Understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases
Experience in system design architecture or distributed systems

Customer Expectations

Strong emphasis on software engineering over cloud migration
Ability to build applications from scratch not just deploy or migrate
Hands-on experience in automated testing and scripting
Strong coding skills in JavaScript or similar scripting languages

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions GitLab Harness CodePipeline etc.)
Background in DevOps or Platform Engineering
Knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs subnets routing)
Experience with AWS IAM and security best practices
Exposure to AWS Control Tower / Account Factory
Experience with containers (ECS/EKS) or serverless (Lambda API Gateway)
