Job Summary

Project Overview

Client is seeking an experienced AI Project / Program Manager to lead enterprise-level AI and machine learning initiatives. This role focuses on delivering AI-driven solutions across manufacturing supply chain and distribution operations.

The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business and technology teams working closely with executive leadership IT and external vendors. This is not a product management role; the focus is on project/program delivery execution and stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of AI and ML initiatives across the full project lifecycle
Develop and manage project plans charters communication plans testing strategies and implementation plans
Manage scope schedule budget resources risks and overall delivery quality
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify and execute AI use cases
Translate business needs into AI-ready problem statements with clear success metrics (ROI adoption performance)
Coordinate cross-functional teams throughout the AI lifecycle
Manage AI-specific risks including data quality bias explainability security and compliance
Oversee pilots proofs of concept production deployments and post-launch support
Manage vendors and external partners delivering AI solutions
Drive change management to ensure adoption and effective use of AI solutions
Apply Agile Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches based on project needs
Facilitate executive workshops and provide program updates including risks milestones and value delivered
Support Agile adoption and PMO maturity within the organization

Required Qualifications

Education & Certifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
PMP certification (or in progress)
Agile certification (Scrum SAFe or similar)
Preferred: AI machine learning or data analytics certifications

Experience

8 10 years of project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives
5 8 years of IT management experience
2 5 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain distribution or operations
Proven experience delivering AI machine learning or data-driven solutions
Experience working with AI tools such as ChatGPT Gemini or Claude (functional use not development)
Experience working with vendors and external technology partners

Technical & Soft Skills

Strong understanding of AI/ML use cases and enterprise implementation
Ability to bridge business and technical teams effectively
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms
Strong stakeholder management including executive-level interaction
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Strong facilitation and workshop leadership skills
Risk management and decision-making ability
