About the Role
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and implementing medically prescribed physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual needs. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments establishing functional goals and developing personalized interventions to restore mobility reduce pain and prevent disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions including exercise programs manual therapy techniques and use of physical agents and assistive devices
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed
- Educate patients on injury prevention rehabilitation and ergonomics
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and outcomes
- Supervise and delegate tasks to physical therapy assistants students and support staff
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Physical Therapist license (state-specific)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages preferred
