Global Lyme Vaccine Team Lead (Secondment - 9 months)
Job Summary:
Lyme diseaseremainsthe most common vector-borne illness in the Northern the United States alone an estimated 476000 peopleare diagnosed and treated each year with anadditional 132000 cases reported annually in Europein countries with surveillance systems. The geographic footprint of Lyme disease continues to expand and early symptomssuch as rash fatigue fever or joint painare often missed or misinterpreted allowing disease to progress and in some cases lead to serious complications involving the joints heart or nervous system. There is currently no approved human vaccine for Lyme disease underscoring the significant unmet medical need and the importance of continued scientific progress in this space.
The Global Lyme Vaccine Lead secondee will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the global strategy launch planning launch execution and lifecycle development for the Lyme disease vaccine (PYS $1B) during a pivotal time (L-1) for the asset. They will partner closely with cross-functional and regional stakeholders Regulatory Clinical GAV Medical Affairs and both US and ICO teams to enable strong Local execution.
This leader will bring a combination of strong commercial acumen strategic thinking and ability to operate in a highly dynamic pre-launch environment. Success in this role will require influencing and navigating ambiguity fostering alignment across diverse stakeholders and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive global strategies and launch readiness for the Lyme business.
Lead and develop a team of high-performing engaged direct reports; proactively coaching for performance and career growth modeling simplicity and Pfizer values creating an environment with clear accountabilities recognizing and rewarding performance
Lead Brand Global Governance Teams in partnership with GAV Medical ICO and US.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Launch Excellence CSI R&D Regulatory Public Affairs and Supply to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic plans.
Analyze market trends customer insights and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and drive growth.
Lead team through continued evolution and development of global branding platforms core content package and tactical architecture across all relevant customers (HCPs patients consumers).
Monitor and report on the performance of marketing initiatives adjusting strategies as needed to achieve business objectives.
Partner with CMO and Commercial Offices to operationalize Pfizer marketing Ways of Working at the global regional and local levels to deliver against brand performance metrics
Lead asset through remaining Launch Excellence milestones.
Demonstrate an absolute commitment to Pfizer values and adherence to all applicable compliance rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in marketing Business or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in marketing or commercial within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing marketing teams.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Diverse leadership experience including in-market and above country/regional scope
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across different functions and colleagues/groups and to lead by influence to effectively develop and implement strategies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree preferred
Global marketing experience required
Vaccines experience required
Tick-borne disease experience preferred
Prior launch experience required
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Availability to travel internationally up to 30% of the time
