We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Councils Private Sector Housing team as an Empty Homes Officer.

The role:

To deliver an ambitious programme to bring back into use some of the long-term empty homes that sit across the District as a wasted resource. Using the full range of statutory powers available applied in accordance with the Councils balanced enforcement policy the work will prioritise homes in areas of highest housing need.

What you will need:

The postholder will need to combine excellent organisational data analytical and IT skills with good communication problem solving and practical enforcement to meet the varied circumstances likely to arise. Reporting to the Operational Lead (Private Sector Housing) this high-profile role will suit someone who is self-motivated and likes to focus on project-based activities.
