Email your completed application along with your resume and other required documentation to the Director of Special Education Cherish Hermes at Purpose:Provide support for campus personnel with regards to behavior management training and documentation to address and manage children with emotional disabilities learning disabilities cognitive disabilities Autism and behavioral :Education/Certification:Bachelors degree from accredited universityValid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignmentsSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned areaKnowledge of Admission Review and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting and implementationKnowledge of behavior and social skill intervention techniques and methodologyAbility to work with students with pervasive developmental disabilitiesAbility to develop and deliver training to adult learnersStrong organizational communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skillsEvidence of leadership skillsExperience writing behavior plans and making behavioral recommendationsExperience:Training in behavior3 years teaching experience preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Instructional and Program with teachers to design and develop behavioral intervention plans (BIP) and provide support to instructional staff in implementing BIPs and classroom management the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans and recommend changes as functional behavioral assessment (FBA) based on observation of students in school home and community environments. Work with school staff and parents in teaching socially acceptable behaviors to students based on individual admission review and dismissal (ARD) committee meetings.
