This contract position is an on-site role that offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical practice environment providing high-quality care to patients in critical conditions.

In this position you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive care to critically ill patients collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations in critical care settings
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
  • Educate patients and families about care plans and critical health issues
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to care discussions
  • Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards

Requirements

  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physicians Assistant (PA) license
  • Experience in critical care settings preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in critical care
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications

Schedule: 7a-7p

22-bed pediatric cardiac ICU

Patient Census: 11-12 per shift

Will cover all stat-level patients

Must have pediatric cardiac ICU experience

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
