As part of BlackRock Preqin is scaling its impact by embedding privatemarketsdata benchmarks and indices directly into investment workflows across AladdineFront and client platforms.
Job Overview
This is aleadership rolewithin Preqin Data responsible forowning and scalingPreqinsBenchmarks & Indices datasetsacross private markets.
The Director Benchmarks & Indices Data will haveendtoendaccountabilityfor thequality coveragemethodologysupport and operational excellenceofPreqinsbenchmark and index dataspanningfundlevelbenchmarksassetlevelindices private credit indices (including BDCs) andnextgenerationbenchmark productsdeveloped in partnership with Aladdin andeFront.
This role sits at the intersection ofdata product analytics and platform integration and will work closely withPreqin Product Aladdin DataeFrontInsight Index Services andclientfacingteamsto ensure Preqin benchmarks areinstitutiongrade scalable and deeply embedded in BlackRocks ecosystem.
A core responsibility of this role is tobuild lead and develop ahighperformingglobal teamwith deep domainexpertise strong operational rigor and aclientcentricmindset.
Key Responsibilities
Own the endtoend quality coverage and integrity ofPreqinsbenchmarks and indices datasets.
Partner with Product andDatateams to operationalize benchmark and index methodologies at scale with strong governance and documentation.
Ensure datasets are institutiongrade supporting analytics reporting and index construction use cases.
Lead integration of benchmark and index data into AladdineFront and enterprise data platforms.
Build lead and develop a highperforming global team with strong domainexpertiseand accountability.
Act as a senior point of contact for internal stakeholders including executive leadership and clientfacing teams.
In addition the role involves innovating and implementing processes to improve overall datalifecycle.A core responsibility is the management and development of a high-performing team that collaborates with business units and understands client requirements to achieve outstanding results.
You are a good fit if
1215 years of experience in financial data benchmarks indices private markets or related analytical data businesses.
Proven experience building and scaling complex datasets in an institutional environment.
Strong people leadershiptrack record including managing and developing global teams.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with handson execution in a fastgrowing integrated platform environment.
Experience working crossfunctionally with Product Engineering and Analytics teams.
Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging with senior stakeholders.
Bachelors degree; advanced degree a plus.
Familiarity with BI and analytics tools (e.g. Power BIMetabase) is beneficial.
