The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations driving sales growth maintaining labor and food cost goals and delivering exceptional guest service. The AGM plays a key leadership role in developing team members ensuring brand standards are met and creating a positive high-performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Performance
- Assist in managing daily operations to ensure smooth efficient service.
- Support achievement of sales labor and food cost goals.
- Monitor and control inventory ordering and waste.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies procedures and health regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization according to Firehouse Subs brand standards.
Team Leadership & Development
- Train coach and develop crew members and shift leaders.
- Create and support staff schedules to meet business needs and labor targets.
- Lead shifts and model exceptional customer service.
Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest receives fast friendly and accurate service.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
Administrative Duties
- Assist with cash handling deposits and daily reports.
- Maintain food safety logs and required documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the restaurant or quick-service industry.
- Strong understanding of labor management and cost controls.
- Ability to lead motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays.
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending reaching and multitasking.
