Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on a wide variety of projects from bespoke equipment through to large-scale automation systems
Were currently hiring for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering high-quality solutions across multiple industries. If you enjoy designing equipment that actually gets built working closely with the workshop and being involved from concept through to installation this is a great opportunity to build your experience on diverse and technically interesting projects.

Our client is a locally-owned company with a rapidly growing presence both nationally and internationally.
Headquartered just 5 minutes outside Sligo town they provide engineering and automation solutions to industries including Food & Beverage Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Automotive and Medical Devices.
With a strong pipeline of work ranging from smaller bespoke builds to large-scale projects and a significant increase in demand they are continuing to expand making this an excellent time to join a busy and growing team.
The Role
- Design of automation equipment using SolidWorks
- Producing manufacturing drawings and BOMs
- Working closely with the workshop team during build and assembly
- Supporting projects from concept through to installation and commissioning
- Liaising with electrical and controls engineers
What Were Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 35 years experience in mechanical design
- Strong SolidWorks
- Good understanding of materials and assembly
- Practical hands-on mindset
