Interior Boat Builder

Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Interior Boat Builders to join a busy marine engineering environment working on high-quality vessels built for global use. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship particularly within interior fit-out.

Working as part of a skilled team you will be responsible for installing and finishing a range of interior components ensuring all work meets high standards and project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Fitting a variety of boat furniture
  • Installation of ply bulkheads
  • Fitting cabin sole bearers and cabin doors
  • Cladding bulkheads with polished veneered ply
  • Fitting various fibreglass components
  • Carrying out basic upholstery and vinyl work
  • Fitting sole boards
  • Occasional painting tasks

Requirements

  • Relevant City & Guilds (C&G) qualification or equivalent
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience within the marine industry or similar carpentry/joinery background
  • Experience working with timber and/or GRP vessels
  • Strong attention to detail and high-quality finishing skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and as part of a team
