The Role

Java Engineer at Oodle Car Finance.

What youll need

• Excellentknowledgeof Java is required. Experience with Kotlin is a plus but not essential.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot or a similar framework.
• Good experience withmicroservices and API design.
• Experience with AWS (or other cloud providers) Docker and general devops practises.
• Good knowledge around architecting and developing solutions that span the full
• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Great written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty.
• Solid problem solving skills

What youll do

• Work on a variety of services to build and expose back-end functionality for front-end clients (mobile and web).
• Work closely with product managers and technical colleagues to provideAPI services.
• When required support front-end developers to integrate into back-end services.
• Support new technical initiatives fortheteam to improve security convenience and reliability of our systems.
• Work with other teams and team leaders to build strong cross-team
• Prototype and explore new technologies that could benefit the team and Oodle as a whole.
• Support code standards and practices.
