Job Summary

This is a hybrid role based in Bristol. You will support electrical distribution design activities across a major nuclear programme as well as assess design changes and coordinate technical inputs across multiple disciplines.
You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure design consistency and compliance.

Produce load lists and key electrical distribution design deliverables
Assess impacts of design modifications across electrical distribution systems
Review switchboards cabinets and physical design margins for compliance
Coordinate technical workshops with multidisciplinary engineering stakeholders
Organise and track progress of ongoing technical topics and actions
Facilitate collaboration between suppliers and internal engineering teams
Analyse design interfaces across civil mechanical and electrical disciplines
Support technical documentation reviews and ensure alignment with requirements

 


Qualifications :

Nuclear experience is not essential but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.

We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further we would strongly encourage you to apply

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Understanding of electrical standards such as BS7671 or IEC 60909
Experience with electrical distribution systems and design principles
Experience reviewing or producing technical electrical documentation
Knowledge of cabling specifications and installation practices
Familiarity with cabinet or switchboard design and layout
Experience working within highly regulated engineering environments
Ability to assess technical impacts of design changes
