Job Summary

About the Role

Joining our Lifestyles (home care support) team you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes and accessing the community within Hurstville and surrounds. Travel between clients (up to 30 minutes) and working short split shifts is required.

To provide the best support you will have experience supporting people with high medical needs personal care and manual handling. You will support clients with personal care their daily routines community access and domestic tasks.

We have Casual opportunities available with a variety of client session times (starting from 2 hours) between 6am and 8pm within Hurstville and of hours available are for morning and afternoon shifts.

Note you will be reimbursed 0.99 cents per kilometre travelled while you are working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
  • Community access and social supports
  • Domestic assistance (support with household chores)
  • Manual handling including hoist transfers
  • Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
  • Documenting and progress note keeping

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience supporting people with disabilityin a home care and community setting
  • Experience in providing personal care and supporting people with high medical needs bowel and catheter care
  • Manual handling experience including hoist transfers
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Australian Drivers Licence and reliable insured vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Willing to complete basic household chores
  • Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
