Job Summary
Position Overview
This temporary position serves as general backup support to the full-time operations staff. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities including general maintenance product handling equipment operation facility upkeep and crop sampling and evaluation. The ideal candidate is dependable safety-conscious and willing to assist across multiple operational areas as needed.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with inbound and outbound Agronomy products
- Operate and maintain equipment and drive company vehicles as required
- Ensure compliance with all company and safety policies
- Assist with maintenance and repair of facility equipment
- Maintain facility grounds including mowing weed control and general housekeeping
- Collect and process samples for crop evaluation and recordkeeping
- Communicate daily activities needs and accomplishments to the Location Manager
- Prepare and maintain accurate records in accordance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist in measuring and monitoring inventory levels of dry fertilizer NH3 UAN and other chemicals
- Serve as a backup to Applicators as needed
Qualifications :
- Commercial Applicator License (preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment if not already held)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work extended or flexible hours during busy seasonal periods
- Knowledge of agricultural products practices and territory is an asset
- Acceptable driving record and valid drivers license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend climb in and out of trucks and perform hands-on tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs or more unassisted
- Work may be performed outdoors and in varying weather conditions
