Overview
The Senior Buyer is responsible for leading the day-to-day Procurement operations of an assigned entity (site) and for an assigned category (or categories) including all Procurement and Supplier Management responsibilities in alignment with the Procurement policies and collaborating with the Global Category Management team. This position may have responsibilities for both direct and indirect responsibilities for the assigned entity (site).
Responsibilities
Transact the day-to-day Procurement activities ensuring they are executed in line with entity category guidance and Category Management team and in compliance with relevant entity and global policies standards guidelines and operating procedures.
Lead supplier relationship management efforts in region and provide support globally.
Advise cross-functional team to understand business requirements and execute based on Procurement process.
Collaborate with the Category Management teams and escalate entity supply issues as required.
Must be able to execute the Procurement requirements as defined by the business keeping stakeholders top of mind.
Advises on contracting activities; review master agreements statements of work change orders or similar documents as directed by the Category Management team or site leadership.
Lead and deliver on annual objectives as defined.
Instruct entity level Procurement requirements to relevant personnel.
Identify and advise supply risks to ensure that supply is protected to support manufacturing operations.
Monitors purchase orders data to ensure values are accurate and up to date and advises entity of potential supplier correction needs.
Must influence and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.

Qualifications
Minimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements
Requires a Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience.
CPSM or CPM or other certification desired.
Knowledge of Procurement or Supply Chain systems tools policies and procedures.
Both Direct and Indirect Procurement experience a plus.
Excellent communication skills
Qualification Requirements:
Demonstrated understanding of negotiations driving cost reduction strategies and day-to-day Procurement operations.
Understand basics of demand planning and inventory management.
Proficient in communication skills.
Display effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision.
Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Requires occasional early morning or evening teleconferences.
Works under general office environmental conditions with sitting for extended periods.
Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job subject to reasonable accommodation under national disability requirements.
May travel domestically and internationally as needed.
