Overview
Element has a current opening for an Intern to join our growing team in Ann Arbor MI. Were looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Analytical Chemistry Intern to join our collaborative team supporting both Research & Development (R&D) and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) projects. This internship is designed for individuals eager to learn laboratory techniques regulatory practices and analytical testing in a fast-paced environment. Youll gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced scientists and contributing to meaningful projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing analytical testing to support R&D and CGMP projects under guidance.
- Learn and apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) documentation standards.
- Support ongoing projects and gain exposure to project workflows and timelines.
- Participate in investigations involving deviations and Out of Specification (OOS) results to understand root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to support problem-solving and process improvement efforts.
- Assist with routine laboratory testing and data recording.
Skills / Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Interest in analytical chemistry and regulated laboratory environments (e.g. pharmaceutical CRO CDMO).
- Familiarity with analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC GC UV-Vis) through coursework or lab experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn structured procedures.
- Good organizational communication and teamwork skills.
