About the Opportunity
Northeastern Universitys College of Professional Studies Biological Sciences Program is accepting applications for part-time Lecturers that can teach the lecture or lab sections of Chemistry (General Chemistry Organic Chemistry and/or Analytical Chemistry) on the Boston campus.
The College of Professional Studiesis one of ten colleges of Northeastern University a nationally ranked private research university. Founded in 1960 the College provides lifelong experiential learning that unleashes the capacities of aspiring individuals in all stages and walks of life. The College teaches undergraduate graduate and doctoral students on campus and online in more than 90 programs.

Responsibilities
Qualified candidates must be prepared to work with global student populations.
The Lecturer will teach night courses in person in our undergraduate program on our Boston campus multiple sections are available. Screening and review of candidate application materials will begin immediately and will be ongoing.
Part-time Lecturers are expected to work collaboratively with the Program Lead in the department to ensure consistent course delivery including the alignment of lecture content and lab activities scientific skills development and assessment of the curriculum across all lecture and lab sections.
Lectures must use the Colleges learning management system Canvas to post syllabus assignments grades and other materials to communicate with students.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of a Masters degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required
- The department is seeking candidates with a history of effective teaching including experience using active learning techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Canvas LMS a plus.
