Main duties(in addition to teaching responsibilities):
support and guidance forstudentsin terms of reintegration meetings pastoralmeetingsandgroup tutor meetings.
managestudentsbehaviour and emotional wellbeing during a working dayincludingmonitoring reporting procedures reintegration meetings internal exclusions external exclusions detentions attendance lateness.
3. Assistin the identification of early signs of disengagement and contribute to specific interventions to encourage re-engagement with the curriculum and Academy life.
4. Undertake relevant training and support students withallocatedsafeguarding issues.
5. Monitor and address all uniform issues within the Year Groupsreferring to theAssistant Principalsand Vice Principal when needed
6. Attend all Year12 and 13eventsincluding ParentsEvenings.
7. Support students with internal and external examinations.
8. Work with tutorsto support students in theirpersonal developmentUCAS applicationsand statementand CVwriting.
9. Engage with data for Years 12 and 13 and use it toidentifyrelevant interventions.
10. Work with the Pastoral Support Manager for Years 12 and 13 to manage the JW6 provision and study areas on a day-to-day basis.
11. Lead assemblies and meetings for the Year Groupswith theAssistant Principalsand/or Vice Principalandmonitordaily collective worship.
12. Support the Assistant Principal for Curriculum Development in developing a suitable programme of enrichment.
13. Be available when results are published to support students parents/carers and senior staff on outcomes and progression to thenext stage.
14. Support the Assistant Principals and Vice Principal with JW6 recruitment and enrolment.
15. Be a visible and pro-active partof the duty system throughout theAcademy dayboth in terms of supporting staff in class and during break and lunchtimes.
16. Undertake any other duties which from time to time may be required and be relevant and commensurate with the role as deemed necessary by the Principal or Executive Leadership Team.
