We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate Director Data and Analytics
In this role you will:
- Own end-to-end techno-functional design for regulatory reporting solutions including Data Architecture ETL reporting & integration with various Finance Risk Data & downstream systems.
- Lead E2E design delivery (requirement analysis Planning design design delivery/reviews & support during implementation/post-production) of the assigned initiatives/programs.
- Translate regulatory & finance requirements (Basel CRD IV EBA local regulators etc) into functional & technical specifications aligning with Future State Architecture.
- Providing design(techno-functional) leadership to a team of multi-skilled analysts/developers ensuring scalability performance considerations security auditability & appropriate controls.
- Govern Data Quality & controls frameworks for regulatory reporting including lineage reconciliation validation & Error handling.
- Partner with various stakeholders including Business Architects Developers Testers during delivery phase & ensure the overall solution meets strategic objectives and OKRs.
- Drive improvements in the existing/new designs in line with Future State Architecture & business value.
- Support production by trouble-shooting complex design/data issues impacting regulatory returns and lead root-cause analysis & strategic/tactical fixes based as needed.
- Build and maintain domain learning paths & onboarding material for team members. Actively support their career development through feedback goal setting & guidance.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Over 15 years of relevant experience in IT for banking/financial services with strong experience in finance or risk systems (added advantage if in regulatory reporting environment).
- Deep understanding of banking products credit risk & regulatory reporting
- Strong Expertise in data modelling data warehousing finance data regulatory frameworks( Basel III CRD IV EBA etc.)
- Previous experience partnering with business stakeholders to design or implement IT platform improvement/redevelopment balancing short-term demands with long-term goals
- Strong analytical communication & documentation skills with ability to clearly explain complex designs to non-functional stakeholders.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional technology teams using agile ensuring phased delivery with incremental business value.
- Influential credible and persuasive active listener embraces HSBC Values shows good judgement and demonstrates high level of collaboration skills to achieve effective stakeholder management and strategic outcomes.
