ESG Impact Knowledge (EIK) Intern

32-40 hours per week based in Amsterdam

About the EIK department

As EIK Intern you will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to managing ESG (Environment Social Governance) and impact within the investment process developing and delivering technical assistance (TA) projects to investees and generating and disseminating knowledge.

Responsibilities

1) Assist the EIK team on operational areas such as:

  • Assisting with the initiation development and implementation of Technical Assistance (TA) projects. Supporting contracting processes with TA beneficiaries and consultants including Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures.

  • Assisting in managing procurements of consultants that execute TA projects and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures.

  • Supporting portfolio and/or program management across different business lines and mandates.

2) Contribute to effective communication of impact through:

  • Assisting the development and distribution of newsletters impact reports and other communication materials for external stakeholders.

  • Supporting the creation of case studies and impact stories .

  • Coordinating with relevant teams to gather content and updates for communication materials.

3) Support the design and implementation of a data repository for storing and analyzing impact and general data through:

  • Assisting in data entry validation and analysis of impact data.

  • Generating reports and presentations based on collected data for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Communicate key findings and insights from data analysis to support decision-making processes.

Job requirements

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g. business administration finance economics communications international development).

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and diverse team environment.

  • Interest in impact investing financial inclusion and sustainable development.

  • Adaptable and willing to support a range of functions including operations communications and market development.
