Job Summary

As a System Development Engineer you will work with a talented team of engineers and partners with cross-functional stakeholders to design develop and maintain scalable ERP extensions and modern web applications. You will leverage AWS technologies and modern frameworks including React and JavaScript to deliver high-quality solutions that delight customers.

Key job responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain scalable applications and ERP system extensions that support Supply Chain operations
- Build and optimize modern web applications using and JavaScript ensuring high performance and reliability
- Develop comprehensive technical specifications and architecture documentation that enable team scalability
- Create reusable UI components and front-end libraries following best practices and design patterns
- Translate product requirements designs and wireframes into high-quality maintainable code
- Optimize application performance across multiple browsers and devices focusing on user experience
- Integrate RESTful APIs and implement secure authorization mechanisms
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions that improve system reliability
- Participate in code reviews mentor junior engineers and drive engineering excellence across the team
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends bringing innovative solutions to the team
- Collaborate with product managers designers and cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused features
- Drive operational excellence through monitoring metrics and continuous improvement initiatives
A day in the life
On any given day you will be working on a wide array of tasks for example data set creation UI creation SQL tuning data extraction dashboard creation report creation and deep dives on data issues. The source data will be Oracle ERP and expert knowledge of the Oracle ERP architecture and table structure will ensure ensure a quick turnaround. Your customers will be expect you to be knowledgeable about both Oracle ERP and extensions to Oracle ERP.

- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
- 5 years of professional software development experience building production applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript HTML5 CSS3 and modern web development practices
- Demonstrated experience with and its core principles including component lifecycle and state management
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or similar frameworks
- Proficiency with RESTful API design and integration
- Strong understanding of modern authorization mechanisms including JSON Web Tokens (JWT)
- Experience with front-end build tools and pipelines (Webpack Vite ESBuild or similar)
- Proficiency with version control systems particularly Git including branching strategies and code review processes
- Proven ability to write clean maintainable and well-documented code
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience developing and deploying enterprise-level web applications and ERP system customization
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2 S3 Lambda CloudFront etc.) or other cloud platforms (Azure GCP)
- Experience with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of GraphQL and modern API design patterns

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
