Employee Benefits Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a team. This role is pivotal in managing a complex book of business fostering client relationships and driving growth within the small to middle-market group segment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of employee benefits exceptional client service skills and a proactive approach to account management. This is a full-time in-office position offering opportunities for professional growth and development.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $60000 - $85000 (based on experience and qualifications)
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package provided
Responsibilities
- Manage a complex book of business with varying funding mechanisms and advanced contract features.
- Serve as the primary contact between clients and carriers ensuring client retention and growth through regular communication and relationship management.
- Drive the renewal process lead client meetings and provide utilization reviews.
- Introduce and promote new products to clients increasing profitability by encouraging the use of added-value services.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of current market conditions competitors products and industry trends to act as a technical expert.
- Support the open enrollment process including preparation communication and scheduling.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses/Designations: Life & Health (L&H) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in employee benefits account management; 3-5 years preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applied Epic software (or similar systems).
- Education: Relevant educational background in business insurance or a related field is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to build and maintain client relationships; detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
