Description

The Le Meridien Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual for the position of Director of Events at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills; a strong proficiency in multi-tasking with hospitality sales experience essential.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead the overall events strategy to achieve and exceed annual revenue and profitability goals aligned with the hotels budget.

Partner with Sales Leadership to establish and execute a targeted sales and marketing plan focused on group and catering business development.

Drive revenue optimization through strategic pricing upselling initiatives and comprehensive understanding of market demand.

Assist with the development of banquet menus.

Participate inday banquet forecasting.

Direct all aspects of event planning and execution ensuring flawless coordination across departments including Banquets Culinary and Operations.

Lead conference planning meetings ensuring alignment on all event details logistics and service standards.

Establish and maintain operational standards processes and documentation to ensure consistency and excellence in execution.

Requirements

3-5 years event catering experience preferred.

Knowledge of CI/TY and Marriott systems to include Lightspeed
Proficient in Microsoft Word Office Internet Explorer/Google Chrome
Well organized and detail oriented
Ability to work independently
Display initiative perseverance and analytical skills
