About the role:

Youll join our Managed Engineering Services (MES) team which sits at the heart of VodafoneThrees technical excellence delivering handson engineering expertise proactive network management and endtoend service assurance for some of our most strategic enterprise customers.

As a Networking Engineering apprentice youll support VodafoneThrees delivery of cuttingedge telecoms infrastructure across the SPEN (Scottish Power Energy Networks) estate.

Responsibilities:

• Install maintain and fix vital telecoms systems that keep SPENs substations and networks running safely and reliably.
• Handle fibre copper RF and IP-based communication systems confidently.
• Support planned works manage reactive faults and respond to emergencies.
• Complete configuration testing and documentation to a high standard.
• Work as one team with site leads our Network Operations Centre Project Managers and contractors.
• Lead with safety permits and electrical procedures followed every time.
• Take pride in your kit ensuring tools test gear and your vehicle are always inspectionready.

Desirable skills:

• You enjoy figuring things out whether thats solving problems or learning new technical skills.
• As this is a fieldbased work youll need a clean driving license be comfortable travelling as needed with a flexible approach to working hours.

Salary: 26300 per annum

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Future prospects:

90% of QA apprentices secure permanent employment after completing: this is 20% higher than the national average.
