Reporting to theNational Director OperationstheArea Manager- Care Serviceswill provide senior operational and clinical leadership across a portfolio of4residential aged care servicesin Victoria.This permanent full-time role is the clinical escalation point and the driving force behind sustainable high-quality care.

About The Role:

  • Own the sustainability of your portfolio by managing occupancy targets cost controls and financial performance across multiple sites

  • Act as the senior clinical escalation point ensuring safe practice and sound judgement are embedded through robust qualityand safetysystems

  • Lead and mentor a team of Residential CareServices Managersto build a high-performing culture where staffare developedfeel supportedandsafe to speak up asaligned withour Mission

  • Identifynew service initiatives and proactively challenge established ways of working to champion improved models of care and future-focused plans

  • Ensurecontinuedcompliance with all aged care legislation standards and accreditation requirements translating continuous learning into improved resident care

  • Build and fosterpartnerships and relationshipswith residents families GPs regulators and community partners to enhance the reputation of St Vincents as a provider of choice

Things that work for us:

  • ARegistered Nurse(or other relateddiscipline)with current AHPRA registration and a deep understanding ofclinical governance frameworks

  • Extensive experience leading managers and multi-disciplinary teams within aged care orasimilarlyregulated health environment witha provenability toguide your teamproactivelyin accordance withstatutory and regulatory requirements

  • Possess strong financial acumen and the ability toleveragedata toidentifyopportunities for change and operational improvement

  • A skilledleader and communicator with the ability tolead through influence resolve complex conflicts and represent the organisation to external stakeholders

  • Championacompassionate holistic person-centredmodelof care across NSWthat empowers residents and fosters a sense of belonging independencecultural respectpurposeand wellbeingfor our residents

  • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence and a sincere commitment to the mission and legacy of St Vincents

  • Ability to travel betweenour4 Melbourne-based aged care homes on a regular basis with interstate travelfrom time-to-time

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as business leadership or health

  • Successful completion and maintenance of Responsible Person screening checks. This position is considered a Responsible Person role being accountable for day-to-day operations and having authority decision-making influence & responsibility for planning and directing activities within our organisation.
