Job Summary
Roles Purpose:
The primary role of the Laundry Attendant is to process all soiled linens for internal and external customers. This includes but is not limited to washing drying ironing and folding of linens and terry while keeping records for billing and inventory purposes.
Roles Responsibility:
- Processing linens on ironer and folding terry 86% of shift
- Clean work area 10% of shift
- Record keeping 3% of shift
- Other duties assigned 1% of shift
Roles Physical Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and to be able to push and pull up to 800 pounds with the assistance of a cart
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to withstand constant movement of the extremities
- Ability to bend at waist and perform repetitive hand wrist and foot action
- Ability to work in hot environments
Roles Qualifications:
- Sorting soiled linens and terry
- Cleaning of all work areas and equipment
- Assembling of linen bins for delivery
- Ability to keep good records
- Ability to work days nights weekends and holidays
- Completing other duties as assigned
- Laundry facility work preferred but not required
