Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Marine Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining a variety of marine engines and systems. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills attention to detail and a passion for working on the water.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair marine engines (inboard outboard and sterndrive systems)
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes tune-ups and winterization
- Troubleshoot electrical fuel and cooling systems
- Install and repair marine accessories and components
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new units
- Accurately document work performed and parts used
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a marine technician or in a related mechanical field
- Knowledge of marine engines and systems (Mercury Yamaha etc. preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and service equipment
- Basic computer skills for service documentation
- Valid drivers license
- Marine certification (preferred but not required)
