This role is in a chemical pilot plant where youd be actively building operating and troubleshooting equipment and processes. Its a mix of mechanical electrical and process work giving you exposure to real-world systems and specialized equipment.
We are looking for someone whos comfortable working with tools problem-solving and being on their feet in a dynamic environment. Its a solid opportunity to grow your technical skills gain experience in chemical operations and work in a stable team-oriented setting with consistent hours and potential for overtime.
Overview / Responsibilities:
Support the construction operation and maintenance of chemical processes.
Maintain clean work areas and manage parts and equipment inventory.
Generate purchase requisitions for maintenance and operations.
Assist in building and operating pilot-scale chemical systems using piping tubing and AC/DC-powered equipment.
Help operate and monitor complex chemical and petroleum processes at a small scale.
Maintain equipment and company vehicles.
Perform tasks such as installation/removal of insulation material handling and deliveries.
Assist with welding cutting wiring and interpreting technical drawings.
Record operational data in logs and communicate updates across shifts.
Conduct analytical testing using gas chromatography.
Track and manage chemical and equipment inventory.
Required Education Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Experience with chemical processes (e.g. distillation) is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities preferred.
Basic computer skills including Excel and Word.
Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
