What youll do
- Conduct timely chart reviews to identify medical and social needs; partner with providers to obtain necessary clearances.
- Make the initial outreach to patients and families building rapport and establishing expectations for the surgical pathway.
- Coordinate and optimize the preoperative workflow to ensure patients are medically prepared and scheduled efficiently for the OR.
- Provide skilled preop/postop nursing triage and ongoing education to promote safe successful recoveries.
- Teach and manage orthopaedic education classes that prepare patients for surgery and rehabilitation.
- Maintain consistent clear communication with the multidisciplinary orthopaedics team to keep the patients plan on track.

Qualifications:
- Current Maryland or Compact RN license
- 5 years of orthopaedic nursing experience preferred
- Previous program coordinator esperience preferred
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office required
- Able to conduct patient education calsses via Zoom
- CPR certification - AHA Red Cross or Military Training Network accepted
- BSN reqired MSN preferred
Salary Range: Minimum 51.22/hour - Maximum 79.39/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
