Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing phlebotomies and receiving/processing specimens to ensure high quality in the preanalytical phase of laboratory testing.
Work Schedule: .5 FTE; Monday - Friday 5am - 9am; Every 4th weekend
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some positions as identified by the Laboratory Manager will be required to drive to various sites to perform phlebotomy. If required must have a valid drivers license and meet all criteria required under Lakeviews Automobile Liability Guidelines.
Knowledge and skills sufficient to provide technical instructions and communicate and advise other departments on clinical laboratory procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of health care program (e.g. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Paramedic Phlebotomy).
- Phlebotomy Certification
- Medical Terminology knowledge
- Previous phlebotomy experience
- Typing or keyboarding skills
