An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef to join a well-established country house hotel set in the Gloucestershire countryside following the recent appointment of a new Head Chef.

This is an exciting time to join the kitchen with a clear focus on strengthening the brigade refining standards and building a stable quality-driven team.

The hotel offers a varied food operation combining refined dining relaxed service and events all underpinned by a commitment to seasonal produce and consistent execution.


The Role

Working closely with the Head Chef you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen taking ownership of your section while supporting the wider team.

You will:

  • Run your section confidently across prep and service
  • Support the Head Chef in delivering consistent high-quality food
  • Assist in organising prep ordering and kitchen workflow
  • Contribute across multiple service styles (restaurant events etc.)
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness organisation and food safety
  • Support and guide junior team members where required
  • Contribute to menu ideas and seasonal changes

This is a role suited to a chef ready to step up take on more responsibility and develop beyond a standard CDP position.

  • Strong Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
  • Experience within fresh-food kitchens (hotel or gastro pub background ideal)
  • Organised reliable and calm under pressure
  • Passionate about seasonal ingredients and quality cooking
  • Keen to take on more responsibility and progress
  • Positive team-focused approach
