Bath Spa University is hiring an engaged and committed University Centre Operations Administrator to join the Operations Team at the University Centre in Hackney. Working as part of a small team this role is a core contact point for students staff and visitors to the campus and will work across a range of areas from front-of-house customer service to key operational administration
About the Role
You will support the day-to-day operations of the University Centre. This varied role involves coordinating daily activities including the opening and closing of the campus and acting as a welcoming first point of contact for staff students and visitors by delivering professional and responsive customer service. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across teams and campuses to ensure efficient service delivery assist in the planning and running of events and take on key Health and Safety responsibilities such as Fire Warden and First Aider duties including risk assessments and hazard management. Flexibility and a willingness to support the evolving needs of the Centre are essential.
About You
Flexible and able to commit to a moving shift-based working pattern that includes evenings and weekends.
Demonstrated experience in delivering excellent front-of-house customer service.
Able to work productively in a busy high-pressure student facing environment
Self-starter with a demonstrable history of using initiative and taking pro-active decisions within the workplace.
Demonstrable interest in (higher) education and student experience
Experience with Health and Safety Safeguarding and Prevent protocols
Experience planning and delivering events
Experience designing and executing communication plans.
Additional Information
Salary Grade 5 - Including 2500 Market Pay Supplement - Starting from 32088 rising to 35502 per annum
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Full time role working in a moving shift based pattern with other members of the team including opening (8:30am) evenings (to 9pm) and weekends (Saturday).
Please note that as of April 2024 there has been a change in the UKs sponsorship threshold. Regrettably as the salary for this role falls beneath this you will not be eligible for sponsorship therefore your application will automatically be rejected.
The successful candidate must pass an enhanced DBS check.
