Job Summary
Position: Materials Planner/ Expeditor
Reports To:Materials Manager

Summary
The Materials Planner/Expeditor will coordinate and manage work orders and inventory through the manufacturing process.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Master Scheduler in publishing of work packages and distribute to the production team for manufacturing
- Assist in coordinating engineering changes on the shop floor
- Close work orders ensuring all costs have been captured and analysis done if any deviation from standard
- Coordinate inventory counts
- Ensure inventory accuracy by monitoring consumption
- Monitoring all WIP orders and following orders through to completion
- Working with the Master Scheduler to ensure WIP has a plan for manufacturing
- Daily review of work orders in each production area
- Assist the shop floor on any work orders that need assistance and resolve along with the Master Scheduler
- Review of consumables required and requisition sent to Purchasing
- Update work centers for production as necessary
- Process serial number stickers for the floor for part identification
- May perform other duties as assigned by management.
Work Conditions
- Shop floor presence equal to office work
- Overtime as required
Requirements
- Post Secondary Education in Materials Management/Supply Chain
- Ability to plan organize develop implement and interpret goals objectives and policies
- Ability to work within a team environment to support team goals
- Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems
