Job Summary
For the 2026-2027 school year Holy Trinity Catholic School is seeking a self-contained elementary teacher.
Position Title: Teacher
Terms of Employment: 190 days/year
The teacher is hired by and is responsible to the principal. The duties of the teacher include but are not limited to:
COMMUNITY OF FAITH
- Supports and implements the philosophy of Catholic Education.
- Gives evidence of lived Gospel values.
- Participates in building faith community.
INSTRUCTIONAL PROCESS
- Demonstrates evidence of prior planning and preparation.
- Uses effective teaching techniques strategies and skills during lesson.
- Demonstrates knowledge of curriculum and subject matter.
- Uses instructional time efficiently and effectively.
- Evaluates student progress effectively.
- Provides for individual differences.
- Demonstrates ability to motivate students.
- Maintains an atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Manages student behavior in a constructive manner.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Works cooperatively with administration.
- Works as a team member with educational staff.
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with students.
- Maintains positive interpersonal relations with parents and other members of the school community.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND GROWTH
- Maintains professional manner in classroom and other school related settings.
- Demonstrates a sense of professional responsibility.
- Actively and cooperatively participates in responding to total school needs.
- Keeps abreast of development in curriculum and the learning process.
- Interacts with colleagues to further professional growth.
- Takes advantage of opportunities to further professional growth.
Other duties as assigned by the principal.
