This role focuses on prevention early identification assessment and short-term treatment of mental health concerns impacting student success and employability.

This role focuses on prevention early identification assessment and short-term treatment of mental health concerns impacting student success and employability.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Services
Conduct mental health assessments for applicants and enrolled students
Provide short-term counseling focused on employability and behavioral stability
Deliver crisis intervention and coordinate emergency care when needed
Develop and implement case management plans
Clinical Services

Consultation & Collaboration
Work closely with:
Health & Wellness Director
Counseling staff
Center physician and nursing team
Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary planning

Program Support
Lead mental health education sessions for students
Provide staff training on adolescent development and mental health
Support center-wide wellness initiatives

Referral & Community Coordination
Coordinate referrals to off-site mental health providers
Build partnerships with community resources and agencies

Minimum Qualifications:
Active unrestricted license in the State of Hawaii
One of the following:
Clinical/Counseling Psychologist
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Minimum 1 year of experience working with adolescents or young adults
Active unrestricted license in the State of Hawaii

Experience in settings such as:
Schools or colleges
Behavioral health clinics
Military or institutional environments
Additional Requirements:
Ability to pass a background investigation
Proof of professional liability insurance
Ability to work independently as a contractor
Must provide coverage or a qualified replacement during absences
