Salary: $140000 $160000 annually

About the Role
A growing portfolio of restaurant brands in the San Antonio area is seeking a high-impact Controller to lead accounting operations. This strategic leadership role combines hands-on accounting management with the ability to drive financial clarity operational efficiency and scalability across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities
Manage monthly quarterly and annual close processes
Prepare and consolidate financial statements (balance sheet income statement cash flow)
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable state/federal regulations
Establish and strengthen internal controls policies and procedures
Partner with external CPAs on tax filings audits and year-end reporting
Oversee intercompany transactions reconciliations and consolidations
Monitor cash flow working capital and overall financial performance
Lead mentor and develop accounting staff while improving workflows and efficiency
Drive budgeting forecasting and variance analysis processes
Support leadership with financial modeling strategic planning and ad hoc analysis
Oversee AP AR payroll coordination and general ledger functions

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
Proven experience managing accounting for multi-unit restaurant QSR or fast food operations
Experience with Restaurant365 / R365 systems required
Strong knowledge of GAAP consolidations and intercompany accounting
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with restaurant accounting systems
Strong leadership organizational and communication skills
Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on

Preferred Experience:

Background in privately held or family-owned restaurant businesses
Multi-location operations experience
Exposure to growth environments acquisitions or entity expansion
