Role: Transmission engineer
Location: Brooklyn Park MN (Onsite)

Job Description

Skill Requirement:

Design and develop transmission using NX.
Evaluate and benchmark CVT dual clutch and torque converter automatic transmission technologies for automotive and 4 wheel drive applications.
Develop objective performance metrics (shift quality response time efficiency drivability) and correlate them with subjective ride and shift feel.
Create and execute test plans for technology evaluations including test conditions instrumentation measurement points and data analysis.
Support customer in reviewing and validating transmission solutions offered by suppliers ensuring they meet defined performance targets.
Analyze transmission data identify gaps and recommend improvements in calibration hardware or control strategies.
Collaborate with vehicle integration powertrain and dynamics teams to ensure the transmission system delivers the desired performance durability and user experience.
Document evaluation processes and contribute to customers transmission development guidelines.
