Job Summary

Position Description:

CGI is a European leader in Space Ground Segment systems and services in the domains of Navigation
Satellite Communications Earth Observation Space Safety and Mission Operations. We provide critical
services and solutions to European & national agencies and institutions the scientific community the
commercial sector as well as to the wider public. We are both major contributors to and act as thought
leaders in a number of key European space initiatives including the Galileo Copernicus and future SatCom
programmes designing and developing cutting edge solutions for our clients.
The European Space market is dynamic evolving and rapidly growing. CGI is now looking to further expand
our business in this area building on our 50 year successful heritage. At CGI we support the planning and
execution of national and international space missions with reliable systems structured approaches and
experienced professionals. The space ground segment is at the core of this work.

ground segment systems.
In this role youll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team working across the full system lifecycle
from early concept and specification through design implementation and validation. Depending on the
mission you will contribute to the development of new systems or support the evolution of existing ones
ensuring they remain reliable scalable and ready for the future.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

You will contribute to key systems engineering activities including:
Refining and managing system requirements
Ensuring traceability across system levels
Supporting the definition and documentation of interfaces (ICDs)
Supporting system development life-cycle planning
Contributing to integration verification and validation (IV&V) activities and documentation (e.g. VCD)
Helping define and align test tools and strategies
Preparing and supporting major review milestones from SRR PDR to QR/AR
Supporting system modelling and architecture design (e.g. with MBSE)
Working with established system engineering tools (e.g. DOORS Capella Enterprise Architect)
Contributing to design justifications including system budgets (timeliness end-to-end performance etc.)
Collaborating with different stakeholders to ensure solutions meet mission and user needs

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Experience with requirements management and related tools (e.g. DOORS) and an understanding of standards-based engineering processes (such as ECSS CCSDS or similar).
Strong interpersonal skills and team working ability.
Strong aptitude for dealing with complexity and paying attention to details.
Ability to work independently and in a rapidly evolving environment.
Fluency in English
Nice to Have
The following qualifications and experience are not mandatory but would be considered an advantage. We encourage you to apply even if your background does not match these criteria:
Experience in mission control systems operations or on ground processors
Involvement in development of new space systems (phase A/B)
Experience in RF engineering and verification on space to ground links
Experience with Constellation Control and/or Low Earth Orbiting satellites
Experience in technical team leadership including coordinating activities supporting team members and fostering collaboration
