Compliance Coordinator – Job Description
Job Objective
To support the Compliance function in ensuring that the organization adheres to laws regulations and internal policies by monitoring compliance requirements documenting activities and coordinating efforts between departments to minimize compliance-related risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the implementation of compliance policies and procedures and ensure their application across departments.
- Coordinate with internal units to collect compliance-related information and prepare periodic reports.
- Identify potential non-compliance issues and escalate them to the direct manager for necessary action.
- Prepare and maintain compliance records and data (Compliance Register).
- Monitor regulatory and legal changes and ensure that concerned departments are informed.
- Support compliance with self-assessment processes.
- Contribute to the development of compliance awareness and training materials.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required documentation.
- Monitor adherence to data protection and privacy requirements when applicable.
- Conduct initial review of compliance-related reports and complaints and escalate to the appropriate authority.
- Update Key Compliance Indicators (KCIs) and provide periodic reports on them.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in law Business Administration or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Compliance Governance Audit or Risk Management.
- Knowledge of relevant local laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (such as Compliance Management Framework ISO 37301).
- Excellent reporting skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
