TITLE: Account Clerk II / Bookkeeper
REPORTS TO: Principal; Director of Finance
JOB GOAL: Provide support to financial functions and assistance to the faculty and staff
concerning any activity or club affiliated account.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain reporting procedures and internal controls for the purpose of maintaining accurate records in accordance with Kentucky Accounting Procedures for School Activity Funds using web-based software.
- Maintain general ledger for school activity funds.
- Monitor fund balances of assigned programs and related financial activity for the purpose of ensuring that activity accounts are accurate reconciled monthly and expenses are within budget limits.
- Prepare documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.
- Reconcile account balances (e.g. bank statements cash receipts school accounts) on a monthly basis.
- Prepare cash deposits from school activities for the purpose of making bank deposits.
- Assist in the resolution of discrepancies and errors.
- Manage online payments and electronic transfers between the school bank accounts and MySchoolBucks Arbiter Pay etc.
- Assists front office and principal with other tasks to ensure efficiency of the schools front office.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma GED or equivalent.
- Typing and mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of computers especially web-based applications such as accounting software email and spreadsheets
- Such Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Satisfactory completion of State mandated health examination.
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually by the Principal and/or Director of Finance.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Salary commensurate with the Fairview Independent Schools Classified Salary Schedule
- Work schedule to be established by Principal/Director of Finance
