As our Relationship Officer youll be the go-to officer for providing a high level of service to clients. Youll be responsible for managing the account opening process for new and existing clients facilitating the visitation process for all existing clients and executing all day-to-day responsibilities associated with the maintenance of all Know Your Customer (KYC) addition you will support our sales teams in the positioning and delivery financial solutions to clients and prospects. Every day youll build trust with clients and team members by learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide creative solutions. To thrive in this job youll need knowledge of private banking products markets and traditional and non-traditional service providers.


As our Relationship Officer you will:

  • Assist with input of details to our client database monitoring upcoming periodic review reports and work with Relationship Managers (RMs) to ensure timely client contact
  • Collect all required information and documentation from the client. Completing profiles on internal KYC databases including client profiles account profiles new account approval forms visitation forms addition youll partner with RMs to direct client engagement and service day to day banking needs as requested by RMs
  • Accompany Relationship Managers on customer meetings to provide information about account opening requirements and product information
  • Work with Operations Compliance and internal product partner teams to facilitate account opening approvals
  • Scenarios range in complexity and youll need to adapt to one-of a kind challenges everyday scenarios and regulations affecting area of responsibility
  • Understand follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy. Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards policies and practices

Youll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Client-focused with strong problem solving and relationship building skills
  • Sound judgment keen sense of urgency and high level of professional and personal integrity
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong knowledge of regulations affecting area of responsibility
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets and products
  • Bachelors degree in business or related field
  • Proven experience in private banking or equivalent high net worth client experience
  • Securities licenses not required for this role
  • Must be fluent in Portuguese

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables including but not limited to role responsibilities skill set depth of experience and education licensing/certification requirements internal relativity and specific work location.
